Great Yarmouth Borough Council supports existing businesses and new investors to take advantage of the 16GW of planned and installed offshore wind capacity off the coast of Great Yarmouth.

The town boasts a deep water port with £30 million planned investment and extensive marine energy supply chain.

Looking to the future, Great Yarmouth probably has the world’s largest concentration of offshore wind farm sites within 100 miles, including UK Round 3 wind farms East Anglia Array, Hornsea and Dogger

With its proven expertise, good accessibility and the right location, Great Yarmouth was also chosen to host the operations and maintenance for Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm in 2014 because of the flexibility of its 24/7 harbour, including the ability to handle a range of vessels, and the opportunity to locate offices and warehousing on the quayside. The purpose-built base was opened in 2016.
